I was unaware of the living conditions until after the passing of this fish!
So my sister in law had a beta fish for 3 years and it finally died. So she has tried to kill the fish to look like a accident for a good part of 2 years but could never flush it alive or kill it directly. The fish has had tic taks put in the bowl, not feed for almost 3 weeks and enough water to stay in the water. The amount of stress this fish was put thro in its life dumbfounds me it lived as long as it did. Ive heard they have short life spans up to 2 1/2 years in good health. I don't know much about them so maybe some one can shed some light for me.
Thought id share this story.
